We all know the struggle of stress, whether it’s from college, work, or just life in general. Stress is a constant thing in our lives. Here are 5 ways to try to combat that stressful anxiety that seems to creep in and put a damper on things.

1. Pamper yourself: go to the nail salon or spa.
It’s always nice to have a little mini pamper session, self care is very important. If you take a day and really ‘treat’ yourself, that has actually been proven to help improve your mindset. The old saying is true “if you look good, you feel good”. And giving your nails a little TLC never hurts either!
2. Take a walk/run
Exercise is a key factor in helping eliminate stress. When you workout, and-it can be anything: Dancing, running, biking, or just walking— anything that can gets your heart rate up; your body naturally releases chemicals that make you feel happier and when you feel happier— you tend to feel less stressed.

3. Listen to some relaxing music
Music is a great way to decompress. It can calm and clear your mind, especially if you listen to some soothing music like Mozart or Beethoven.
4. Read a good book
Take some time for yourself and just curl up with a good book. Reading is an excellent way to lose yourself and your stress by just ‘falling’ into the book’s world. Books are a way to teleport yourself into a new and exciting place, a chance to escape if you will. Which is perfect for trying to manage stress.

5. Enjoy a bubble bath
Allow your stress slip away in the soothing caress of a bubble bath. Let the warm water and the soothing bubbles will calm and clean your body and mind. This is something that is cost effective and extremely beneficial!
